Food is a hot topic today, sparking widespread interest and activism -- and prompting us to think about what we choose to eat. Do we want to consume "sustainably," and what does that even mean? This participatory workshop will outline some big issues in food research and activism today, and offer opportunities for discussion and for students to do quick analyses of food ads or ingredient labels. The workshop will be a welcoming and respectful forum for students with diverse backgrounds, diets, and viewpoints on food.
